Is FC Barcelona the best team of this century?

I have been watching Fc Barcelona for couple of years now and i really believe this is one of

the best soccer teams in history of football. They really seem to get better each year. They

have a tremendous amount of talent from every position. It has been really always a pleasure

watching their football.  Of course with all of that talent its easier for a coach to work with,

but Guardiola has done an great job building the team chemistry and making each player

trust in each other and play excelent football.  I have not seen a lot of teams that can play

like they way they have been and actually beat them.  The amount of possesion that Fc Barcelona

has in every game is really incredible, and the chances that they create its most likely ending

behind the net.  How long would they last playing such a beautiful way of Football. The great thing

that i have always loved about them is that most of the players are either from the Academy

or from a very young which means they will be playing for the club for many years to come.

I really think that the football team is really something else. They really dont even seem human to

me at times because they are so incredible.  Their exquisite way of passing, possession and control

is alone an incredible passionate side. Look alone on how they had played vs Manchester United

in the champions league, to play such a huge club as Man United and to win in every aspect of the

game was tremendous for them and for fans to watch all over the world. They really do make

teams suffer against them.

  1. Without a question...when people look back on Pep Guardiola's FC Barcelona, they will remember the side as one of the best pure footballing sides to ever play the game. Their possession and movement with, on and off the ball will make it seem like most of the teams they play are a man down 11v10. It's very hard to beat a side that moves the ball with great efficiency and wastes very little moves in the possessive and attacking sense. In recent years...I cannot remember the last time i've seen a team this difficult to disrupt in possession.

By far...their successes is heavily based on the amount of chemistry and technical ability that's present in the squad. The fact of the matter is that Pep Guardiola has enstilled a system where all 11 men are accountable for the successes and failures of any given game. The standard of technical ability is at a world class level from the first pick in the starting eleven to the last pick in the reserve team. Even such defenders like Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol are extremely comfortable with the ball on their foot and can dictate the start of an attacking move better than most defenders can even dream of.

All in all...I don't think we will see another Barcelona for some time. I think clubs with model themselves after them for their own level of successes. It will be interesting to see which forwards will join Barcelona in the coming years...I seriously think that most skilled forwards in the world can score a boatload of goals in Barcelona's system.

    good blog alex...

  2. i totally agree with ur post as well . its almost impossible to chase a team 90 mins plus

to the way barcelona plays, Well lot of credit should of to the academy and the coach and their

strategies.. Because they are using and making all these players understand each other so simply.

Everybody understands their roles to the full extent and they all back each other out.

their chemistry is def a huge plus on the squad. its really working and getting better and better.

they are one of the strongest team i have seen play. its actually nice and shocking when teams can beat

barcelona and real madrid and man utd, because they are one of the strongest clubs at the moment.

barca foundation and base is very strong so when new players come in they also have to

follow and take their time to settle.. World class players like Ibrahimovic didnt in my opinion fit in into

the way barca plays, thats why he didnt stay long.
